Valerie Jenkins has over 35 years of experience working in the financial industry. She serves as vice president and senior community relations consultant for the North Florida Region. As a member of Public Affairs, Valerie is responsible for executing the company’s societal impact and sustainability strategic priorities in eighteen regional Florida markets. She’s responsible for providing leadership and consulting for approximately 850 employees that provide services to customers to drive market growth. She also provides support for the company’s small business initiative that contributed to funding roughly 150,000 small businesses and helped save nearly 250,000 jobs. Valerie has held many leadership positions throughout her career in the areas of social responsibility, community investment, small business lending, mortgage lending and operations, and asset management services.
Valerie have served on many state and local boards and advisory committees with a focus on housing, commercial and economic development, education, social climate, and environmental justice, including Ability Housing Inc., Florida State College of Jacksonville Foundation, and Northeast Florida Regional Council. Her leadership in community collaboration is demonstrated through her appointment to City of Jacksonville Northwest Jacksonville Trust Fund and the Jacksonville Community Land Trust Board of Directors. She serves as consultant for the North Florida Employee Impact Team, Employee Resource Network, and the North Florida Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Business Council. Valerie has received numerous awards and recognitions to include Strategy Partner Leadership Award, Celebration of Leadership Award Honoree, Times Union’s “Working on the First Coast” Community Leadership Recognition, 2020 ONXY Magazine Woman on Move, and Honoree of United Way of Northeast Florida - Women United.
Valerie is an active alumnus of Leadership Jacksonville and Northeast Florida Regional Council. She has a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, from the University of Sarasota. Valerie is married and has three daughters.
